Image-Guided Surgery Congress
22-23 November 2019
European Molecular Imaging Event
22-23 November 2019
Following the success of our two previous editions we will again be hosting a two-day international congress on image-guided surgery. This time we will organize the conference at Orsi Academy, a surgical training center in Melle, Belgium.
This congress will cover a range of technologies available for image-guided surgery including:
- fluorescence-guided surgery
- radioguided surgery
- augmented reality visualizations
- virtual reality visualizations
Unique to this occasion will be the live streaming of surgeries. In line with our previous image-guided surgery congresses, the venue will promote participants gaining hands-on experience with the presented technologies. As the conference will be broadly advertised to physicians (of all surgical disciplines), researchers and industry, we aim to provide a unique environment for translational science that will catalyze novel advancements in the field.
Prior to this IGS congress a 2-day Hands-on training course fluorescence-guided surgery (organized by Prof. Alex Mottrie, Dr. Hendrik van der Poel, Fijs van Leeuwen and Klaas Vandenheede and sponsored by Intuitive Surgical and Karl Storz). This course will be held on November 21 - November 22, 2019 at Orsi Academy and will allow physicians of all specialties to get familiar with fluorescence-guided surgery.
For participants of the training (https://invivox.com/training/detail/2743) registration to the congress will be complementary
Our EU CME accreditation application for this event is currently pending.

Junior attendees that have submitted an abstract will be notified before the end of October 2019 if they are allowed to present their work as poster presentation.
NOTE: Only abstracts of people that have signed up for the conference will be considered.
Deadline: 23rd of October 2019
In collaboration with Junior Orsi.
